The end of a chapter.
We made it and you’ve finally crossed the finish line! But alas, another marathon is about to be begin in just a few short days. I’d give you more time to catch your breath but it seems as if life just doesn’t work that way. Before we begin the next marathon, metaphorically speaking, I’d love to take this opportunity to just say thank you.
Everything I do is for you guys. I wouldn’t be where I am or doing what I do if it wasn’t for all of your love and support. When I first started my Instagram and blog it was honestly all just for fun. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I’d be taking pictures, posting recipes, hosting interviews or writing blog posts in just 1 year alone. It has been such a rewarding experience being able to spread awareness about the ketogenic diet with others. I’m so grateful that you guys have taken notice of what I’m doing because it’s so much bigger than us.
If we can teach and show others that a healthier lifestyle is possible, then there is not only hope for them but for future generations. I strongly feel that it is our responsibility to set the tone and spread awareness about the positive change that the ketogenic diet can influence. We are also making a worthy investment in not just our personal futures, but that of our children as well. Our kids are going to be the doctors, lawyers, policemen and firefighters of the future, it's only right that we set them on the right course early on.
In a society where speed is the name of the game, I think it’s time to rewrite the rules. You must trust the process and listen to your body. The ketogenic diet isn’t a diet at all; it’s a lifestyle that is going to take time to adapt to. Your body has been operating in “A-Mode” all your life, once you switch to “B-Mode,” it will take a while before you've fully transitioned. Be patient and let everything run its course, remember to be proactive, not reactive.
I also think that it’s very important to ask yourself “why.” As in why are you making this lifestyle change? Are you doing it because someone told you to or because you truly want to make a change and achieve a better way of living? I’d encourage you to do it for you, because you deserve better and want to make a positive change. Does that sound selfish? A little bit, but hey guess what, life is short and your body is meant to last a lifetime. Don’t be afraid to make that investment in yourself because it’s going to pay off big time later on down the line.
2017, it’s been fun and it’s been wild, but there’s really no other way that I’d have it. Thanks for the memories, the good times and the bad times. I learned so much and gained some invaluable experience that I will never forget. I’m looking forward to what 2018 has to offer and blessed to have you guys on my squad.
Be safe and have fun out there... This is Keto Steve, signing off.
